NOTE: Herdsire nominations are optional, so the herdsire does not have to be nominated in order to show this entry. If the herdsire IS nominated, then 20% of the winnings are awarded to the Herdsire Owner. If the herdsire is NOT nominated, then LFA is the acting nominee and receives 20% of any winnings for the herdsire. Nomination Fee is $150.00.

The LFA Futurity is designed to promote llamas by providing a prestigious show, and a place to promote individual breeding programs and farms. It is NOT meant to be a place to market your futurity entries. LFA has an obligation to the consignors of sale animals, and cannot allow the show to become a place for selling animals outside the sale.We feel this is necessary to ensure the continued success of both the sale and the show. If, as a result of having your llama in the LFA, you receive an unsolicited offer which you feel is too generous to decline, you must record the sale with LFA management. There will be an assessment of 10% of the selling price on any sales resulting from participation in the show. Any unrecorded sales will result in the suspension of both buyer and seller from future LFA events.

Health Requirements:

  • All Llamas entering the state of Iowa must be accompanied by a current 30 day health certificate.

* Exhibitors may check in after 4pm on Wednesday, June 12th. It is preferred that exhibitors check out on Sunday, but by special arrangement, they can stay until 9am on Monday, June 17th. Arrangements must be made through Mary Jo Miller.

* Paper or straw may be used for bedding, and stalls do not need to be cleaned before departure.
