2008 World Championship Amateur Division Entry Details

Your Llama Futurity Association board of directors is pleased to announce the creation of a new Amateur Division. This new division will be comprised of individuals who have not yet placed among the top five in either the LFA or Celebrity Futurity Shows. The following outlines the criteria for the Amateur Division:
- The exhibitor, the farm, or the immediate family member must not have placed among the top five in either the LFA or Celebrity in the past two years.(starting with the Spring Celebrity 2006)
- The animal shown must be registered in the name of the individual showing it, the farm, or an immediate family member.
- Immediate family member is defined as mother, father, and children.
- The animal must not have placed among the top five in either the LFA or Celebrity in the past two years.(starting with the Spring Celebrity 2006)
- Youth under 19 years of age may show a llama if they or their immediate family is the owner of the animal.
- The animal can not be entered in the open division; however a different animal may be shown by the Amateur handler
There will be two classes within this division, intact males born between 5 and 24 months and females between 5 and 24 months of age, born between 9/20/06 and 4/20/08. The entry fee will be $100.00 per animal and we will be placing the top six in each class. We anticipate the payout to be $1850.00 for first place, $750.00 for second, $375.00 for third and fourth, and $187.50 for fifth and sixth place.
The two classes will be held on Saturday morning, at 9:00AM and will be judged by our three Futurity judges. The awards will be distributed following the preview of sale animals.
