2008 Membership Application & Information

LFA Mission Statement: To act as a catalyst, independently or in cooperation with other llama organizations, to create leadership in developing and promoting llama futurity events.

Benefits of LFA Membership

The Llama Futurity Association provides an avenue for all breeders to exhibit their animals in an environment with established judging standards and guidelines which include: overall quality of the llama, conformation, fiber, ring presence, and eye appeal.

The LFA is designed to support local and regional futurity efforts by providing financial backing to supplement monetary payouts in futurity shows approved by the LFA. As our budget grows, we will continue to support more local futurity events each year.

Members may have their web sites linked to the LFA web site to increase their marketing exposure.

Members will receive a quarterly newsletter.

All members will be encouraged to submit entries for the selection process to be included in the elite fall sale. This sale is designed to appeal to discriminating buyers and will strive to achieve sale averages above the industry norm.

The LFA will provide local show superintendents with a list of accredited LFA judges for their futurity events. These judges agree with the goals and the written criteria set forth by the association, thereby assuring that the llamas entered will be reviewed with the integrity the guidelines were set out to uphold.

Your support of, and membership in, the LFA ensures the success of this progressive organization and also adds value to the results of your breeding program; both for you and your potential buyers.

Members will have the opportunity to list a few select llamas on the LFA private treaty web page.

Future Goals of the LFA

The direction of this association is dependent upon the desires of its members. The goal of the board is to operate with an open mind, remain progressive and innovative, and to respond to necessary changes responsibly and swiftly. As our budget grows, we will continue to sponsor llamas futurities across the country. Working together toward these goals will ensure the continued viability of both the llama industry at large and this association specifically. We hope you will be part of our future growth.
