LFA Sale General Information
Sale Date: September 18, 2010
Move In Date & Time: September 16, 2010, 8:00 a.m.*
Entry Deadline: June 15, 2010. All photos, catalog write ups, and registrations are required by this date.
Entry Fee: $500.00 per consignment plus 10% commission. (No stalling charges.)
Health Requirements: All Llamas entering the state of Iowa must be accompanied by a current 30 day health certificate.
DNA Testing Requirements: All sale consignments must be blood typed prior to the sale. DNA test kits are available from the ILR.
Sale Limitations: The sale will be limited to 60 llamas with a guideline of a maximum of 5 males.
This will be a prestigious sale of high quality llamas. ENTRIES WILL BE SCREENED
FOR QUALITY. Entries will be viewed and chosen by a three person panel.
All sale animals should be fully registered or screened as a llama as approved by ILR.
Minimum Bid: The minimum starting bid on all sale animals is $1500 for females; $1000 for males.
Commission: 10% of selling price or reserve with a minimum commission of $300.00

Stalling: If the animal is entered in the sale, there is no stall fee. Preferred stalling will be given to sponsors, sale animals, members and early entries. Sale consignments will be provided one stall with sod per consignment. All sale animals will be stalled together. Diamond Sponsors do have the option of stalling their sale animals in the Diamond Sponsor stalling area.
Phone Bids: We will take phone bids on (To Be Announced).
Showing and Selling: You do not have to sell your animal if you show it, and you do not have to show it if you sell it. All llamas must be fully registered or screened as a llama, as approved by ILR.
- All money generated over expenses will go back to the llama community in the form of future payouts or sponsorship of regional futurities.
- Sale funds will be dispersed to the seller as soon as possible.
- Handlers will be available to take your llama on the sale stage if you choose.

* If you arrive earlier than Thursday September 17, 2009 and stay past noon on Monday September 21st, there will be an additional charge of $25.00 per stall per day. Arrangements need to be made in advance for early arrival or late departure.
